. . . Tell Me What I Am
Our system is unique in that it enables every
consumer to check and prove
the authenticity of a product.
Below you will find a detailed description of the system, but we
can summarise here some of the features:
Suitable for all at-risk applications, such as:
In every case the system provides absolute proof of origin and authenticity.
Yes! You can now ensure that your customers buy your goods rather than a fake.
Sample of a label used by Kedassia in the UK.
We have approached this project scientifically, to determine how we can ensure that an article is genuine.
The outcome was surprisingly obvious – give every item its own unique identifier. This is a direct consequence of the realisation that without a unique identifier it is actually impossible to prove that an item is genuine.
The current commercial solutions - fancy labels and holograms - cannot achieve the unachievable.
The obvious challenge is how to achieve this in theory and how to implement it in practice.
We have taken up that challenge and show below how we have succeeded.
We have implemented our unique system and successfully used it in the UK, the US, and Europe, since April 2015.
We want to empower every single consumer to be his own Mashgiach!
Then, even if not everyone checks every item, the chance of discovery will still be very high.
The ability to make a quick profit from forgeries will be virtually impossible due to speedy detection even when 100% checking is not applied.
The only person who is capable of checking whether an item or service is genuine is the consumer himself.
Our aim is to enable a consumer to prove that an item or service is genuine and originates from a genuine source.
The system should be usable at reasonable cost so as to make this commercially viable.
Below we briefly list the main processes involved when a producer wishes to use the system. There is much checking and cross-checking that is done as part of the processes detailed below, with many omitted to keep the description simple.
Also not mentioned are the detailed cryptographic security features that ensure the integrity of all date as well as its secure transmission between the authorised producer and the system.
A producer applies to TeMWIA to use for its own products.
TeMWIA checks out the authenticity of the company and accepts it as a client if all is in order.
The producer provides TeMWIA with a logo and Trading Name that will appear on their authentication web page when a check is made on one of their products.
TeMWIA will check and approve the logo and name. A logo or name that does not clearly match the producer's business will not be accepted.
When the producer wishes to print a batch of security labels for forthcoming productions, it will contact TeMWIA, specifying the number of labels that are required.
TeMWIA will generate a file to be sent to the printers. The file contains individual records for every label, listing the number-pairs and the matching URL from which the QR code is generated.
TeMWIA will then securely send the file to the label printers. The producer can make their own arrangement for the label printing or they can ask TeMWIA to source the labels for them.
A security label must as a minimum contain either a QR code or it must list the two numbers, together with instructions to go to site 444‑444‑444.net and enter the two codes. Normally both would be printed to cater for those with and without Smartphones.
The producer will attach a security label to each product during the production process.
The details of each production Batch is securely notified to us with the first and last numbers used, and the precise and full Description of the goods.
A Batch is defined as a run of products that share the same Description
The Description contains specific details of the product which will help the purchaser confirm that it matches the item he is checking. Typically, depending on the wishes of the producer and the nature of the product, this will contain a clear description of the product together with relevant details such as:
The idea is to enable the purchaser to clearly match the web description with the product.
TeMWIA validates all uploaded data, and if found to be in order, the number range and the associated Description is loaded onto the TeMWIA authentication site 444‑444‑444.net.
At this point the everything is in place to enable the authenticity of an item to be validated.
